Taian Taishan High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd. was established in November 2007 and is located in Tai’an City, Shandong Province, China. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shandong Luneng Taishan Power Equipment Co., Ltd., under the Taishan Group. It is a specialized transmission and distribution equipment manufacturer integrating design, R&D, manufacturing and sales of high-voltage switchgear, as well as power engineering construction and maintenance services.
The company’s core business includes the design, development and manufacturing of GIS (HGIS) up to 550 kV, tank-type circuit breakers, mobile substations, and prefabricated substations, together with EPC contracting for power engineering projects and power equipment maintenance services.
The company employs over 500 staff, including more than 80 full-time R&D engineers, among whom are corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Engineering. The manufacturing base covers 86,377 m², with Class 100,000 and Class 1,000,000 clean workshops and a total workshop area exceeding 32,000 m². The company operates two high-voltage test centers with GIS testing capability up to 550 kV, and maintains dedicated production lines for insulation components, enclosures, operating mechanisms, and a fully automated coating line.
The company holds Grade II qualifications for power engineering EPC contracting and power facilities installation, maintenance and testing, enabling it to undertake construction and maintenance of power projects up to 220 kV.
Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise, the company operates several provincial-level R&D platforms, including the Shandong Enterprise Technology Center, Academician Workstation, and “One Enterprise, One Technology” R&D Center. It has received multiple honors such as National “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative” Little Giant Enterprise, Shandong Green Factory, Shandong Gazelle Enterprise, and Outstanding Contributor to Innovation-Driven Development. Its 252 kV intelligent GIS and 126 kV compact GIS have been listed in the Shandong Province First-Set Technical Equipment Catalog.
The company’s 252 kV, 126 kV and 40.5 kV GIS product series have passed type tests conducted by XIHARI and other accredited laboratories, with performance exceeding GB/T 7674, GB/T 11022, and related standards. The company is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and holds Level II Safety Standardization and PCCC certification. In addition, it has obtained Green Factory, carbon footprint, energy management system, and ESG certifications.
